Confetti TT
The Confetti collection is the world’s first mass-produced colorful and adaptable prosthetic leg covers. In 2016 the above knee model of the Confetti was released and in 2018 we designed the new model – Confetti TT – designed for people with transtibial (below the knee) amputation.
Its purpose is both functional and especially emotional as it boosts the amputee’s rehabilitation and self-esteem while being greatly affordable.
Existing propositions are either aesthetically uninteresting (imitating skin), compromises the prosthesis’ movements or in most cases inaccessible, usually made by costly tailored production processes, such as 3D printing. The Confetti is mass -produced in polyurethane to make the product as affordable, adaptable and durable as possible, with an 80% cost reduction in comparison with other covers available in the market.
One Confetti fits most: A clever shape was defined to suit nearly all. With internal guidelines, it is cuttable to easily adjust to the amputee’s height and it is designed to fit the great majority of prosthetic knees and feet combinations.
An international symbol of joy and social equality, a confetti is inexpensive, colorful and democratic. The confetti-shaped holes can be used for customization and amplify the possibilities for self-expression. Many colors are available and the design encourages the user to interchange colors. In addition to home-made customizations, workshops are held with users to share materials and creative processes to customize their Confetti. Casa Vogue magazine and the Campana Institute – from the Campana Brothers – have held workshops in partnership with Furf and ID Ethnos.
Today, Confete is being sold in over 15 countries. Besides being among the most affordable options in these countries, it can also be obtained free of charge anywhere in Brazil, provided by the SUS and INSS (governmental healthcare services).
Confetti is the democratization of self-esteem.
